Reptile Encounter

Come face to face with some of the most interesting and amazing animals on the planet – reptiles!

From snakes to turtles, reptiles can be found in just about every environment on earth. Some are dedicated and loving parents, some are incredible and cunning predators.

The Reptile Encounter, located in the Reptile Building in the Shores region of the Zoo, offers you the chance to get up close and personal with some of the reptiles that live at the Zoo. You can even touch some of the reptiles, so don't miss your chance to connect with some of nature's most beautiful and engaging animals.

• March 11 - March 31: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. (Weekends Only)
• April 1 - April 30: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. (Weekends Only, plus April 14)
• May 1 - May 26: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• May 27 - August 13: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• June 17: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. (Zoofari)
• August 14 - September 30: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. (Weekends Only)
• October 1 - October 29: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. (Weekends Only)
• October 30 - November 15: Closed
• November 16 - December 31: 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. Sunday - Thursday, 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday (Closed November 23, December 24, and December 25)
